Vision Energy were commissioned to undertake SAP calculations and CIBSE TM59 overheating assessments for Blocks C and E of the Colville Estate Phase 2C regeneration scheme in Hoxton, London. The development forms part of the London Borough of Hackney's wider regeneration programme, delivering 93 new mixed-tenure homes alongside community facilities and improved public spaces. Our SAP assessments evaluated the proposed dwellings against Part L 2013 requirements, considering building fabric performance, glazing, airtightness and communal heat-pump heating systems. Detailed dynamic thermal modelling was also undertaken using IES Virtual Environment to assess summertime overheating risk and thermal comfort within the residential accommodation. The design-stage SAP assessments demonstrated compliance with the applicable carbon emissions and fabric energy efficiency targets across the assessed dwelling types in both blocks.
